The Lonely Snowman
A snowman poem written by Julie Morris 2009
The Lonely Snowman
There was a lonely snowman,
standing all alone
When all of a sudden,
someone rang his mobile phone,
Excitedly, he answered it,
only to hear a shout,
“Watch out Mr Snowman -
The sun is coming out!”
He realised sadly his time was done,
as winter was no longer,
The sun was really shining now
and quickly getting stronger,
A melted tear ran down his face,
but you really mustn’t fear
He’s only gone on holiday,
he’ll be back again next year!
